Declaration on scroll in three lines, legi, plumes above, date below (B-J dies, obv.3/rev.L1; Schneider 286-88 - same reverse die and 297 - same reverse die; Brooker 834 - this coin; N.2382; S.2724), reverse die crack running into scroll from 9 o´clock, good very fine, very rare with this die combination Estimate £ 50,000-60,000 provenance Bt. Spink, April 1980 J.G. Brooker, Charles I collection acquired by Spink 1978 Glendining, 6 November 1953, lot 22 C.A. Watters, Glendining, 21-25 May, 1917, lot 377 J.G. Murdoch, Sotheby, 8-13 June 1903, lot 2 The last Murdoch Triple-Unite to be sold at auction, Murdoch lot 3, was in the Slaney collection sale, Spink auction 15 May 2003. This realised £25,300, an extraordinary price at that time for a Triple-Unite.
