Siam Specimen Banknotes First Series by Jan Olav Wilborn Aamlid
During the author's research for writing this book, he discovered many facts about the Siamese First Series Banknotes that were previously unknown. There was one instance of a watermark paper produced but not approved. The writer also discovered that a Type II of the One Tical / Baht banknote was printed with spelling corrections.
The book presents the ultimate collection of Specimen Siamese Banknotes, First Series. Several of the banknotes included were exhibited at the Bank of Thailand Museum "Centenary of Thai Banknotes 1902-2002" which was presided over by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX.
The book gives a profound insight of the evolution of the Siamese First Series Banknotes and is a valuable reference for collectors and dealers, including those interested in Thai history.
